The [Main] tab allows you to specify basic settings for printing.
Media Type
Select the Media Type from the list.
Paper Source
Select the paper source.
[Automatically Select]
When the Media Type is plain paper and the page size is Letter, A5, A4, or B5, the printer feeds paper from the cassette. For other Media Types or plain paper of other sizes, the printer feeds paper from the rear tray.

[Rear Tray]
Feed from rear tray.
[Cassette]
Feed from cassette.

The paper that can be fed from the cassette is limited to plain paper of the Letter, A5, A4, and B5 page sizes. |
[Continuous Autofeed]
If plain paper runs out in one paper source, the printer automatically switches to the other paper source and continues to feed paper.

Print Quality
Specify the print quality.
When you select [High], [Standard], or [Fast], the print quality and the halftoning method are set automatically.
[High]
Select this value to print with priority on appearance rather than print speed.
[Standard]
Select this value to print with standard speed and quality.
[Fast]
Select this value to print with priority on speed rather than print quality.
[Custom]
When you select this value, [Set...] can be selected. Click [Set...] to display the [Custom] dialog.
In this dialog, you can specify [Quality] and the [Halftoning] method.
The items that can be selected differ according to the Media Type.
Color/Intensity
Specify the color adjustment.
[Auto]
The settings for color balance, [Brightness], [Intensity], and [Contrast] are adjusted automatically.
[Manual]
When you select this value, [Set...] can be selected. Click [Set...] to display the [Manual Color Adjustment] dialog.
In this dialog, you can specify the following settings:
[Vivid Photo]
Enable this item if you want to print with vivid tones.
[Cyan]/[Magenta]/[Yellow]
Adjusts the strength of each color.
[Tone]
Sets the color adjustment for monochrome printing.

[Tone] can be adjusted only when [Grayscale Printing] is selected and [Photo Paper Plus Glossy II] , [Photo Paper Pro Platinum] , [Photo Paper Plus Semi-gloss] , [Fine Art "Photo Rag"] , or [Other Fine Art Paper] is selected for [Media Type]. |
[Brightness]
Selects the brightness of your print.
[Intensity]
Adjusts the overall intensity of your print.
[Contrast]
Adjusts the contrast between light and dark in the image to be printed.

Grayscale Printing
Enable this item if you want to print with Grayscale Printing.
